Pre-press handling is where a lot of panels are quietly lost: if the glue lacks body and tack, veneers slip during cold-press shifting and open into core gaps that only show up after the hot press. Polymate-888 gives the mix the rheology it needs at exactly that stage.

It drives resin viscosity and wet tack up to a reliable 40–45 seconds in a B4 cup, holding veneers firmly in register through the cold-press. Because it works across UF, MUF, MF and PF systems, a single additive covers most of a mill’s resin range.

By tightening the cure it also helps suppress ambient formaldehyde off-gassing on the shop floor — a small but real contribution to a safer, more compliant plant.
